Three Swans Studios takes quilt patterns on-line

August, 2001 Want a peek at the newest of the new of the Three Swans Studios quilt patterns? Or want to have a browse through the entire Three Swans Studios collection? Log on to www.threeswans.com and see them all!

Three Swans Studios now has more than a dozen bold and imaginative designs and our range of images keeps expanding – we’ve got dragons, angels and a phoenix; crystals and mosaics and even a crazy-quilt design; fanciful flowers and vines; and a stunning knotwork design guaranteed to take just about everyone back to their ancient roots. In addition to the prototype quilt which appears on the pattern cover, alternatives in contrasting colours and fabric of many of the designs are also displayed on the web site, with new variations added as they become available.

The current Three Swans Studios line of quilt patterns is done in the stained glass, reverse appliqué technique, but with a unique difference – all of our patterns have been drawn with a broken line down the centre of the stained glass leading lines to serve as a guide for a bias binding or traditional hand appliqué technique.

Drop by the Three Swans Studios web site and leave your e-mail address, and we’ll keep you posted when new designs become available and are placed on the site.

You can order your Three Swans Studios patterns using the secure on-line Order Form. Or you can have a look at our patterns on the web site and then either mail, fax or phone (toll-free in North America) in your order.

Not surfing the Net yet? Not a problem. We’re still easy to contact via the phone or through regular mail, and we will always be pleased to send you a copy of our free brochure. It may not include our most recent hot-off-the-press quilt patterns but you’ll have lots to see and choose from.

About Three Swans Studios

Three Swans Studios is comprised of two sisters — Joan Bouwmeester and Debbie Bouwmeester–Fasek — who are situated in different parts of Canada and come from quite different artistic backgrounds. Joan lives in Ottawa, Ontario and is trained as a Visual Artist (painting & drawing). For the past several years, in addition to making her own art, she has worked as an Heraldic Artist and Calligrapher, with numerous commissions from both public and private patrons. Debbie is in Edmonton, Alberta, and is a Fibre Artist. In her own work, Debbie has extensive experience in the reverse appliqué technique, and in the area of embroidery has focused on experimental interpretive stitching and colour applications. She has also received numerous private and public commissions. We formed Three Swans Studios to pool our diverse talents to bring you only the most delightful and imaginative quilt patterns.
